Chat is not an audit trail
A conversation log is not evidence. When counsel or an owner asks why the system acted, you need a replayable path: what it knew, what it read, what it was allowed to do.

A conversation log is not evidence.
When counsel, SIU, fraud review, or a security owner asks why an AI system did something, a chat transcript feels comforting. It is usually useless. It shows what was typed. It does not prove what the system knew, which documents were in scope, which tools were authorized, or whether the same inputs still clear the bar.
Hive Forensics AI builds for that moment. Production AI is not a nicer chat surface. It is a system that can leave an audit path a second machine can verify.
What an audit trail actually needs
Scoped knowledge. The answer came from a defined corpus, not whatever the model remembered. If the documents move, you can say which version was live.
Cited evidence. Material claims point at sources you can open, hash, and reopen. A fluent paragraph without a pointer fails the audit, not just the style guide.
Capability records. Side effects happened only behind an explicit allow. Saying the agent decided is not a control.
Replay. Another operator can re-run the case and get a verifiable result. Confidence scores and meeting notes do not replace that.
None of this requires inventing a certification. It requires an owner and a system that fails closed when the trail is incomplete.
Why buyers care
Regulated and high-stakes teams do not fail on model IQ. They fail when nobody can reconstruct a decision. Chat history is a narrative. An audit trail is a contract with the past.
That is the work Hive Forensics AI ships. Knolo V5.0.0 is the published foundation on npm and crates.io. Production systems on a verifiable knowledge foundation, with receipts and default-deny controls where the workflow demands them. It is not a hosted control plane pitch. The commercial path stays the same: prove one real workflow first.
How work starts
Unscoped AI programs produce chat. They rarely produce an audit trail.
We do not sell chatbot SKUs, hour rental, or brochure demos with no owned outcome. Work starts on a five-day Bootcamp: one corpus, one workflow, representative source material, and a Friday recommendation with an evidence path. If the trail holds, a bounded deploy can follow. If it does not, you learn that early, on purpose.
If your workflow cannot afford an answer you cannot reconstruct, start there.
